DECK THE HALLS

We have decked the halls inside and out. It has been so fun to get ready for Christmas this year. Spencer is so excited it just tickles me. Everday he goes and checks his stocking for "Ho Ho" which is Santa to see if he brought him toys. When he discovers that today is STILL not Christmas he goes to the toy room and fills his stocking up and shows me all the toys that "Ho Ho" brought him. It is so cute. We know it will be a magical Christmas this year with the wee ones. I am not sure who is more excited for Christmas, Spencer or Mom . I can hardly wait to watch him open presents with so much delight and see what "Ho Ho" has left him, he is wishing for transformers and a baby doll for Abby. Happy Holidays!

Turkey Day

I am so behind in my blogging because we have been so busy with many fun holiday activities, starting with a trip to PA. to see my mom and dad. Spencer had such a great time loving papa and nana and lizzy and jose. Abby was a little doll ,and it was so fun to show her off for the first time. We shopped, ate yummy food, talked, went to the BEE movie, laughed, and hung out with the Elders and Sisters of the Harrisburg Mission. Overall it was a great trip, it just went way to fast. We can't wait until our next visit, we certainly are thankful for our Nana and Papa Pugh!!

All In A Day!

Recently one of my best friends from back home called and we were talking and she asked, "what do you do all day with two kids?" At first I laughed inside just knowing that she could not imagine what my life is like as she is somewhat newly married and starting her career., not exactly my life. I proceeded to tell her the basics of my day but I felt like I never really gave her the answer that she was looking for and the reality of what it is to be me, a mother, wife, daughter, and friend. So, here is a typical day as me. It starts early at 5:30 to go workout, it is a beast but it's the only time that I can get to the gym while everyone is sleeping. Even though I curse my way through every crunch and every minute on the treadmill it is going to be the only time of the day that is just for me and try to get rid of the extra pounds of love from those two kids that will be waiting for me when I get home. 7:00 roles around and I am home and greeted by spencer who is snuggling his dad in bed watching a cartoon. With a hug and a kiss I feed Abby and off to breakfast for Spencer and I. Todd leaves for work and the day is off and running. I proceed throughout the day with 5 messy diapers, 4 wet diapers, 2 baths, 2 loads of laundry, 3 beds made, a game of candyland, 3 feedings for Abby, 1 tantrum equalling into 1 timeout, mom finally hops in the shower, 2 emails, 2 phone calls, a dozen of hugs and kisses and time to make lunch. Spencer eats peaches and noodles and tells me itleast 3 knock knock jokes, abby cries and mom is tired. But feeling energized that nap time is coming up. Another round of hugs and kisses and a feeding for Abby and off to bed for the little ones. I then clean up lunch, do a load of dishes and vacum. The afternoon is filled with errands we load up and pick up dry cleaning, get snacks for the airplane... we are getting so excited to see Nana and Papa in PA. Go to the Post Office and get a Diet Coke at the drive thru. (Diet Coke is my saving grace and my pick me up in the afternoon)Back home to play with cars, rattles and transformers. 2 more wet diapers and dinner is made and cleaned up. 2 pairs of pajamas and 2 books read, 1 prayer said and kisses given as it is the end of a great day. Todd unfortunately works late and I feed Abby and get to hold and snug her as we both await to share our day with dad. Looking at my day it may seem a little boring or un -eventful but I love everday with my family. For the many numbers of diapers changed, feedings given and errands ran, there are many more laughs, hugs and kisses that make up for all the other work. I have truly been so blessed with the greatest family and I love being a mom and wife and all the many NUMBER of things it allows me to do and grow everyday. I hope that this can give my cute friend a more detailed outline of my great life. LYLMOB!

Fun Photos

Here are a few fun pictures of the week. Todd has laughed at my love of "blogging" and I just tell him that it's my adult version of my space. I set a side some time every Sunday night to Blog and he thinks that I have become a true blog nerd, the sad thing is it is true.

THE BIG 3!

This guitar was given to Spencer by his Papa Pugh. He loves it so much and he will sit and play it and sing these cute little songs to Abby. He is very careful with it and I can't wait until Grandpa gets back from the mission to teach Spencer to play just like his beloved Papa! Thanks for such a fun gift!

Spencer turned 3 years old Novemeber 1. We had a great day, we went to the Dinosaur museum with some of his cousins. He loved running around and growling like big dinosaurs! We then had a pirate themed dinner with all the gang. Opened presents which of course was a big hit and ate pirate cupcakes. It is hard to believe that Spencer is actually three. He is my little buddy and I am so proud of what a sweet kid he is. Needless to say we had a very busy and party filled week!

Happy Halloween

Here are the cutest trick-or -treaters in town. We had a blast this Halloween. Spencer loved being a pirate and Abby was a "sweet pea". For those that don't know our neighborhood gets very into halloween and people bring their kids from all over to come trick or treat in the neighborhood. We estimated that we had over 200 kids come to the door. I had four bags of Costco candy and still had to use fruit roll ups from the house because we ran out. Spencer loved seeing all the costumes and handing out candy. He wakes up every morning and says "Trick or Treat day?" It was really cute, I don't think that I have ever seen him more excited, we loved it and can't wait for next years festivities.

Kisses All Around!

There is nothing more precious than my children and nothing more tender than loving siblings. I have loved watching Spencer be such a good big brother, he kisses and takes care of his cute little sister. Abby hears Spencers voice and a big smile goes on her face. Todd and I are always amazed at the amount of love we have for them and what great joy they bring to our lives. I love my siblings and I always look forward to our visits and phone calls. I have nothing but fun and amuzing memories of my childhood and I can hardly wait for my children to develop these life long relationships with one another. I can only imagine the kind of stories and memories that they will tell 20 years from now!

Monkey Boy

We had a very fun week with lots of activities. It seems we have taken the motto "Work Hard, Play Hard" more like "Work Hard, Play Harder". This week we went to the Airplane museum, a pumpkin patch and the highlight was the Zoo with his cousins. Spencer loved the monkeys! He has continued to make monkey faces all week.

Pumpkin Patch

"Uncle Sam"

Here is a picture of our Abby with her "Uncle Sam". Growing up Sam was just apart of the family, he seeemed more like a fourth brother than friend. I know that my family loves him like a sibling so we only feel that it is appropriate that he has the official title of Uncle. Even though Abby is shielding her eyes... she loves him. But who wouldn't be scared if Sam was holding you and eating at the same time.

We Love You Melly!

Spencer had a great time with his Aunt Melly in Arizona. They made Uncle Timmy's favorite treat, brownie cupcakes. Who doesn't love licking the spoon, yummy! We miss Tommy and Hannah and can't wait to come visit again soon.

Goggles

We recently went to Arizona with the kids! We had a great time playing in the sun and relaxing with my brother Tim and his family. At the house in Arizona my mom has these goggles that the kids love to wear. Spencer has wearing them most of the time, until he thought that Abby should wear them. He told me to come into the bedroom to see Abby. I hurried in thinking who knows what was going on and I nearly dropped to the floor laughing when I saw that he put the googles on Abby. She truly is cute no matter what she is wearing!

My First Glove!

Spencer got his first baseball glove this summer and he loves it. You can often find him throwing things and playing catch. Mom was recently put in time out by spencer when I threw his binky. He told me we only throw balls. So I went to timeout and said I was sorry and that I will only throw balls. Since then Spencer has put me in time out several times for doing things he doesn't appreciate. They sure learn fast!

Family Update

The Larson Family is joining the world of Bloggers! I figure this is a good way to keep in touch, and do some journaling of my cute family. It seems with juggling family, fun, work and callings we aren't as good at keeping in touch with everyone we love all over the country, so hopefully this way we can re-connect and share more with you. Here is the update on the Larson famdango. We are staying in Salt Lake for thoes who thought we are in St. George. Todd had an incredible opportunity at work, and we couldn't refuse the job offer. So I like to Say "Miller Motorsports Park or Bust"! Spencer is almost three and is the sweetest and most energetic boy around. He is into everything boy... cars, superheros, football, catching, water and snugs. We laugh everyday at the funny things that he says and we melt over every hug and kiss. Our cute abby is now 2 1/2 months old and still has her dark hair. She is darling in all her pink and starting to give big smiles, and tender little choos. We truly feel so blessed to have the opportunity to have spencer and abby they are our greatest joy. Anna is busy with the two kids (three if you count todd), never ending crafts, and compulsive tendencies of organizing, decorating, cleaning, etc. We hope you enjoy our blog and following the adventures of the larson fam.

Abby's B-Day!

Welcome Abigail Jane Larson! She was born August 7, 2007 weighing 7lbs. 3oz. and 18 inches long. Spencer is a great big brother and calls her "my treasure"
