All In A Day!

Recently one of my best friends from back home called and we were talking and she asked, "what do you do all day with two kids?" At first I laughed inside just knowing that she could not imagine what my life is like as she is somewhat newly married and starting her career., not exactly my life. I proceeded to tell her the basics of my day but I felt like I never really gave her the answer that she was looking for and the reality of what it is to be me, a mother, wife, daughter, and friend. So, here is a typical day as me. It starts early at 5:30 to go workout, it is a beast but it's the only time that I can get to the gym while everyone is sleeping. Even though I curse my way through every crunch and every minute on the treadmill it is going to be the only time of the day that is just for me and try to get rid of the extra pounds of love from those two kids that will be waiting for me when I get home. 7:00 roles around and I am home and greeted by spencer who is snuggling his dad in bed watching a cartoon. With a hug and a kiss I feed Abby and off to breakfast for Spencer and I. Todd leaves for work and the day is off and running. I proceed throughout the day with 5 messy diapers, 4 wet diapers, 2 baths, 2 loads of laundry, 3 beds made, a game of candyland, 3 feedings for Abby, 1 tantrum equalling into 1 timeout, mom finally hops in the shower, 2 emails, 2 phone calls, a dozen of hugs and kisses and time to make lunch. Spencer eats peaches and noodles and tells me itleast 3 knock knock jokes, abby cries and mom is tired. But feeling energized that nap time is coming up. Another round of hugs and kisses and a feeding for Abby and off to bed for the little ones. I then clean up lunch, do a load of dishes and vacum. The afternoon is filled with errands we load up and pick up dry cleaning, get snacks for the airplane... we are getting so excited to see Nana and Papa in PA. Go to the Post Office and get a Diet Coke at the drive thru. (Diet Coke is my saving grace and my pick me up in the afternoon)Back home to play with cars, rattles and transformers. 2 more wet diapers and dinner is made and cleaned up. 2 pairs of pajamas and 2 books read, 1 prayer said and kisses given as it is the end of a great day. Todd unfortunately works late and I feed Abby and get to hold and snug her as we both await to share our day with dad. Looking at my day it may seem a little boring or un -eventful but I love everday with my family. For the many numbers of diapers changed, feedings given and errands ran, there are many more laughs, hugs and kisses that make up for all the other work. I have truly been so blessed with the greatest family and I love being a mom and wife and all the many NUMBER of things it allows me to do and grow everyday. I hope that this can give my cute friend a more detailed outline of my great life. LYLMOB!

Fun Photos

Here are a few fun pictures of the week. Todd has laughed at my love of "blogging" and I just tell him that it's my adult version of my space. I set a side some time every Sunday night to Blog and he thinks that I have become a true blog nerd, the sad thing is it is true.

THE BIG 3!

This guitar was given to Spencer by his Papa Pugh. He loves it so much and he will sit and play it and sing these cute little songs to Abby. He is very careful with it and I can't wait until Grandpa gets back from the mission to teach Spencer to play just like his beloved Papa! Thanks for such a fun gift!

Spencer turned 3 years old Novemeber 1. We had a great day, we went to the Dinosaur museum with some of his cousins. He loved running around and growling like big dinosaurs! We then had a pirate themed dinner with all the gang. Opened presents which of course was a big hit and ate pirate cupcakes. It is hard to believe that Spencer is actually three. He is my little buddy and I am so proud of what a sweet kid he is. Needless to say we had a very busy and party filled week!

Happy Halloween

Here are the cutest trick-or -treaters in town. We had a blast this Halloween. Spencer loved being a pirate and Abby was a "sweet pea". For those that don't know our neighborhood gets very into halloween and people bring their kids from all over to come trick or treat in the neighborhood. We estimated that we had over 200 kids come to the door. I had four bags of Costco candy and still had to use fruit roll ups from the house because we ran out. Spencer loved seeing all the costumes and handing out candy. He wakes up every morning and says "Trick or Treat day?" It was really cute, I don't think that I have ever seen him more excited, we loved it and can't wait for next years festivities.
