BLUE MARKER NIGHTMARE!

Today my cute friend Darlene came over with her little girl to go to lunch and look at houses with me. We went to lunch and trying to avoid a bored three year old I brought him a coloring book and some pens. (I thought I was being a extra prepared and fun mom) Everything was going great until Spencer took out the blue pen and started to shake it around, it exploded everywhere. Here is my face after I spent 10 minutes cleaning it up in the bathroom. It got everywhere, on the walls of the restaurant, table, food, clothes and faces. It was bad and embarrassing. Darlene was a trooper she just laughed at me which was really what was needed in this situation. So, I will be spending some time scrubbing tonight to get the marker off. After a day like we have had today bedtime can't come soon enough! I am doing my best to grasp the idea that not every day is as bad, that tantrums will stop, kids will be tired and mom will get to sleep. So only 3 more hours until bed time I think I can make it:)
P.S. Todd I hope that you are enjoying LONDON, because we have had better days with less tantrums and less mess. We love you and can't wait to see you next week! D- Thanks for being such a great friend, Love ya!

FOR MY BABY!

Spencer went with me to go get the mail and when we got back indie the house he picked a flower with out me knowing. He sat down next to Abby and put it in her hair and gave her a kiss and said this is for you Baby! It was so precious and I had to grab my camera to catch the love in action! He really loves his baby Abby and equally Abby loves him. They are the best kids a mom could ever have! For all the long nights, sick kids, and tantrums when you see and feel the love of your children it makes everything worth it and hard times forgotten. Love you babies! XOXOX

PIONEER DAY

This year we had a calm 24th of July! The kids were getting over the stomach flu, so we took it easy! We took long naps and when everyone had enough energy we went to the Chimp movie. Spencer giggled and enjoyed every minute of it, and Abby slept through the whole show. We came home and did our own firework show in the back yard! The best thing about Pioneer Day is that we got to have Todd home with us! The kids loved being with him and I loved having Dad home to help and play with! Cute Abbers playing in the grass!
Mom and her babes!

The tough guys!

Spencer loved fireworks! We have done some almost every night. I love Sparklers and we got a ton so we can continue with the fun until the end of summer! Spencer thought it was so cool to hold the blue smoke bomb!

OUT Of the MOUTH of PENNY!

I am going to start posting more of the funny, sincere, and crazy things that our little Spencer has been saying lately. He is such a fun kid and his imagination is growing wild and he is curious about life. With those two combinations in 3 year old boy it has made for some great stories!

Today was a big day in our house, we have buckled down and got rid of the binky! I know what you are thinking he is 3 1/2 you should of done this a long time ago, and we should have but we are suckers for him!

So, he gathered his binky's and threw them outside and went back inside and we told him that the BINKY SUPERHERO comes and gets the binkys and takes them to little kids that need them. He loved it, he came and checked outside later and sure enough the binkys were gone and he was able to go pick out a toy for being so big. We went to the toy store and let him pick out anything he wanted and he came out with a Batman Cup, ( yes we were shocked too, I thought for sure we would have a big wheel:)

So the challenge was bed time we layed down with him and he begins to feel the need for the binky! He realizes no more binkys and decides that the BINKY SUPERHERO is no longer good! All the fun of throwing them away has faded. This is how the conversation went:

Penny: Dad BINKY SUPERHERO he is EVIL EVIL EVIL he stolen all the binkys!

Dad: No he is nice and giving the binkys to little kids that need them.

Penny: I am little and he is EVIL, I am not Lying I am not Lying I promise, he stole my binky.

This conversation went on for awhile. He has fallen asleep and hopefully we will survive this first week without the BINKS but I guess all SUPERHERO'S aren't good! Everyone beware the BINKY SUPERHERO he is EVIL!

POOL BABY

Abby is living the dream! She was happy swimming, having her bottle and looking good in her swimmer. She is the cutest little thing, she just puts a smile on your face every time you see her. There will be many more days and fun times of Abby living the dream throughout the years and I am excited for all our future FUN adventures!

BEACH DAYS!

We spent the majority of the time at the BEACH! We loved it. The beach is perfect for little kids they are entertained with the sand, and like the water but not enough to just run all the way into the ocean, just play feet deep! We were lucky to see a family of DOLPHINS swimming by when we were playing! It was so fun to see them jumping and playing with each other! Since Spencer loved the dolphins so much he has been playing a game where he will say "mom, where is dad?"
Me: I don't know where is he?
Spencer: He is swimming with the dolphins so go to the beach and get him.
He continues to play this questioning game about everyone he know, it is cute that he loved the dolphins so much.
But I think the best part of seeing the dolphins was Spencer and his cousin Curtis went down by the water to get a closer look. Spencer started making high pitched dolphin noises and Aunt Lizzy said;"wow the dolphins are so close you can actually hear them." And no she was not kidding! Liz... that was a total "Nooze-ism!"
Aunt Lizzy was the best babysitter! Since she was the shade monger I was able to be in the sun while Lizzy snugged Abby during her naps! if you were ever wondering were Lizzy or Abby were look for the shade and one happy snuggled baby. She sure loved her Aunt Lizzy. Thanks for all the help!

This was a great vacation, and it was so fun to spend time with my siblings and their families! I love you all and can't wait 'till next time...... Summer 2009 with the Parental Units!

LeGo LaNd

We went to Lego Land as part of the fun in California. It was perfect for Spencer he was just the right age to enjoy most everything! He loved going on the rides and being with his cousins, but next time we will go when Abby is older so she can do more stuff!
Tim and Todd with Tommy and Spencer! There firefighting skills did not prove to be the best but the kids had a ball!

Those are two cute guys!

Mom and Spencer with of course a TRANSFORMER lego!

Batman is Spencer's favorite superhero right now so this was so fun for him! During the trip Spencer would transform himself into BATMAN and save everyone! He is so creative, I love it.Thank you, Thank You to Aunt Tajee for buying him his Batman T-shirt I have to pry it off of him!

Ocean side BBQ

Abbers came prepared for the BBQ with some yum-yums!
Here is some of the famdango eating some yummy grub! A big shout out to Jim for the good cooking!

Spencer loved riding on Curtis's back. It was fun for him to play with his big boy cousins, Trevor and Curtis!

Overlooking the view during dinner! The ocean is so peaceful and beautiful I love it!

The Daddy's are going golfing tomorrow and Spencer was doing a little practicing of his own. He has good skills already!

This seems to be one of the highlights for the boys playing Mario Kart Wii! We are having a great time. We have sleepy kids from another long day at the beach, BBQ, and smores by the fire pit! I wish vacation could last forever!
